Nam Marabu Series 1 (2025)

Following the success of Nam Marabu Series’ debut in 2024, the first edition of the 2025 series featured Kolanjinathan Baskar, a renowned veteran artiste in the art of Sakkai Kutchi Aattam. Held from February 19th to February 23rd 2025, it reached over 300 participants of diverse backgrounds; 160 of these participants were students. A lesser-known and vanishing art form, Sakkai Kuchi Aattam was featured at the inaugural Anandham Kondattam 2024. The workshops aimed to contribute to the sustenance of the art form, foster collaboration among Indian dance groups, promote traditional arts, and engage the community through immersive workshops and educational sessions. Beyond introductory sessions, masterclasses were organized for 30 dance practitioners to deepen their practice, ensure the art form's continuity, and empower them to pass it on.
