In Collaboration with Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay
A vibrant celebration of Indian Traditional Folk Arts!
Anandha Kondaattam 2024 was a milestone celebration of traditional arts, marking one of the most significant events of its kind in the region since Chennai Sangamam. Graced by Guest-of-Honour Tamil Nadu Member of Parliament Mrs. Kanimozhi Karunanidhi the festival reinforced its standing as a vibrant, multilingual, and multicultural platform for artistic expression.
Leading up to Anandha Kondaattam 2024, ATAM organized several key initiatives that strengthened community involvement, deepened cultural appreciation, and amplified the festival’s impact. The Nam Marabu Series in collaboration with the Indian Heritage Centre, saw master artists lead in-depth engagement sessions aimed at knowledge transfer to students, educators, and artists. Building momentum ahead of the festival, the Indian Heritage Arts Fiesta 2024 on 13th July 2024 featured over 1,000 participants and set two Singapore Book of Records milestones: the Largest Mass Kolaattam Dance and the Largest Medley of Indian Traditional Percussion, underscoring ATAM’s commitment to community building and cultural celebration.
Through such initiatives, ATAM continues to play a pivotal role in preserving and promoting traditional arts and music, strengthening cultural appreciation both within the Indian community and across Singapore’s diverse society.
