In Collaboration with Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay
A vibrant celebration of Indian Traditional Folk Arts 2025!
On 29th and 30th August 2025, the DBS Foundation Outdoor Theatre at the Esplanade will come alive with the sights and sounds of Anandha Kondaattam 2025, a vibrant folk arts festival that celebrates movement, memory, and multicultural connection.
The upcoming Anandha Kondaattam 2025 will be a vibrant celebration of Singapore's Indian diasporic communities and the broader society, reflecting the shared values of SG60. As part of Singapore's 60th independence anniversary celebrations, the festival will align with SG60’s theme, "Building Our Singapore Together," by showcasing the rich traditions of Indian folk arts while fostering unity and cultural bonds.
Over 100 performers, local and international artists, will take the stage to present immersive showcases rooted in Indian folk traditions with contemporary twists. The festival will feature interactive audience segments, bilingual hosts, and performances that span sub-ethnic expressions within Singapore’s Indian community - Tamils, Malayalees, Sikhs, Gujaratis, alongside collaborations with other cultural groups.
Backed by 20 over arts organisations and a committed team of 70 volunteers and crew members, Anandha Kondaattam 2025 is expected to draw over 5,000 audience members and will continue to champion cultural preservation, creative innovation, and community bonding.
Come be a part of this evolving legacy, to protect, promote and preserve our traditional folk arts!
